Established in 2003, Lightning Towing is the towing company of choice for many of the top national roadside assistance companies, best auto repair shops in Sioux Falls and surrounding area, as well as private individuals. Lightning Towing serves the Sioux Falls Metro area with operations based in Sioux Falls and Brandon.

We not only say we provide the highest level of Customer Service but we can prove it with the national awards we have won for outstanding Customer Service. All of our employees are uniformed for easy identification and all of our trucks are non-smoking for the comfort of all customers that must ride with us.

Towing – Lightning Towing has the equipment to handle almost all of your towing needs damage free. We have wheel lift equipped wreckers and flatbed tow trucks. Lightning Towing is the first and only towing company to have a flatbed truck with a 10 degree load angle to handle low clearance and high value vehicles.

Recovery – Lightning Towing can recover your vehicle that may be stuck in a ditch, snow or mud. Our trained employees have the knowledge to recover your vehicle damage free.

Roadside Service – Lightning Towing can assist you with Jumpstarts, Fuel Deliveries, Tire change, or unlock your doors. We will assist you in getting back on the road in a timely fashion.

Motorcycle Transports – Lightning Towing can transport your motorcycle with either our flatbed trucks or on a motorcycle trailer.

Law Enforcement Towing – Lightning Towing responds to tow requests from Sioux Falls Police Department, Brandon Police Department, Minnehaha County Sheriff, and South Dakota Highway Patrol.

Private Property Towing – Lightning Towing can help property owners with removal of abandoned or illegally parked vehicles. Working with property owners and managers we will tow vehicles under your direction. Vehicle owners are responsible for payment of the tow. We will NEVER charge a property owner for removal.

Salvage Vehicle Transports – Working with Insurance Auto Auctions, we transport total loss vehicles for insurance companies. Our salvage operation covers all of South Dakota, Southeastern Minnesota, Northwestern Iowa and Northeastern Nebraska. Auto Auction to Dealer Transports – Lightning Towing can offer very competitive transport rates to dealers that need vehicles transported from the auto auction in Tea, SD.

Specialty Transports - Lightning Towing can provide specialty transports for odd shaped or special loads such as equipment and parts. Lightning Towing has a monitored and secure storage facility.
