Roll'n Pin opened its doors in 1974 under the name of Smitty's Pancake House, a chain founded in Seattle, Washington in 1957. When the Smitty's Pancake House Chain and Perkins Chain merged in the late 1970's, we decided to be independent of chains/franchise restaurants. Re-opening as Roll'n Pin Restaurant in the late '70s, we continue to be one of Sioux Falls' best local, family-owned & non-franchise restaurants, and feature absolutely delicious homemade meals, gracious hospitality, and an entertaining atmosphere.
"We used Roll'n Pin catering for our wedding reception. Mike and his team were great at keeping us updated with all the COVID restrictions and even moved our catering to our new reception date without any additional charges. The food was delicious - we only left with 2 bags of leftovers because everyone went back for seconds! Highly recommend using them for any catering events!" - Annie W.
"My family and I got their curbside takeout for lunch. We appreciated that the gentleman who brought our food to the car had a mask and gloves on. The food was very good! The cheese curds were very fresh and their homemade ranch is thick and delicious! My fish and chips were great! I even got my fries with pico de gallo, cheese, and bacon....YUM!! We also ordered their pork chop, chicken sandwich, chicken strips, and their club sandwich. All were very good! Will have to try their other menu items another time!" - Alison H.
"Roll'n Pin did a wonderful job catering my wedding in Sioux Falls. We received many compliments on the appetizers and meal. Pricing was very reasonable and they did a great job to help make various options fit the budget. Mike Hillman was awesome to work with - very timely, prompt, and organized. Their staff was polite and hard working during the reception. I highly recommend the Roll'n Pin for any event in or around Sioux Falls, large or small!" - Shaylee B.
